Engagement
Monthly product partnership
What is monthly product partnership?
A product partnership is a monthly retainer where Qanat acts as your engineering team — shipping continuously against a roadmap you set. It suits companies with an ongoing product rather than a one-off build. Monthly, with 30 days' notice, and you own everything throughout.
- Right for
- Companies with a live product that needs continuous work, and no in-house team to do it.
- Wrong for
- A single defined project. A retainer with nothing queued is an expensive way to buy availability — take the fixed-scope build.
- Shape
- Monthly retainer
- Commitment
- 3 months minimum, 30 days' notice
- Payment
- Monthly in advance
What is included
Everything below is in the price.
We become your engineering team for a monthly fee, shipping every week against a roadmap you own.
- 01
A weekly release, or an explanation of why there was not one
- 02
Roadmap set by you, sequencing argued honestly by us
- 03
Direct access to the engineer building it — no account manager in between
- 04
Infrastructure, monitoring and on-call for what we build
- 05
A monthly written note on what shipped, what it cost and what is next
Right for
Companies with a live product that needs continuous work, and no in-house team to do it.
Wrong for
A single defined project. A retainer with nothing queued is an expensive way to buy availability — take the fixed-scope build.
We would rather lose the engagement than sell you the wrong one.
Questions
Monthly product partnership, answered
What happens to the code if we stop?
Nothing — it is already yours and already in your organisation. Offboarding is a handover session and a documentation pass, both included. There is no exit fee and no dependency to unwind.
